How does the Free Plan work?
It is free for life: 1 shop, 2 users and up to 100 recorded sales a month. If you pass 100 sales in a month, new sales pause until you upgrade to Starter (TSh 15,000 a month) or the 1st of next month. Your products, reports and customers always stay available.
Will I see an empty system when I sign up?
No. You choose your type of business when you register and SmartPOS loads 10 sample products that fit it, with stock and prices. Make a test sale straight away, then remove the samples in one click.
Can you enter my products for me?
Yes. Contact our team on WhatsApp and we will agree a fair price and a day to enter your products into SmartPOS for you.
How do I pay?
Pay online with mobile money or follow the manual Lipa Namba instructions shown after you register. Your subscription is activated once payment is confirmed.
Is SmartPOS only for pharmacies?
No. SmartPOS is for every kind of shop. It works for general shops, supermarkets and wholesalers just as well as pharmacies and drug stores.
What kinds of business can use SmartPOS?
Pharmacies, retail shops, wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, hardware stores, electronics and phone shops, boutiques, salons and agro-vets.
Can I use a barcode scanner, and manage several branches?
Yes to both. Use your phone camera or a USB/Bluetooth scanner. Plans include one to five branches, Enterprise is customised, and extra branches can be added to any plan for a monthly fee.
Do I need to be online all the time?
SmartPOS is an online system, so a connection is needed to record sales and sync your branches. You can install it on your device like an app for quick access.
